Assistant Professor (General Psychiatry)
Position Description: Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.
Major/Essential Functions: • Teach medical students and residents. • Provide clinic/outpatient care to patients. • Engage in clinical research. • Supervise resident physicians in outpatient psychiatry clinic. • Serve as consultation liaison in general hospital. • Perform bedside teaching and engage in other administrative duties.
Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Required Qualifications: • Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree ; will accept equivalent foreign degree with ECFMG Certificate • License: Texas Medical Board Physician License. • Certification: Psychiatry Certificate from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology • Completion of a four (4) year Residency Program in Psychiatry
