The Licensed Practical Nurse in Acute Care (LPN) provides patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN plays an integral role in the physical and emotional comfort of patients and their families. The LPN provides direct patient care in collaboration with other health care team members and completes other tasks to support patient care. The NYS Education Department differentiated scope of practice of LPNs and RNs in the source document used for determining tasks that the LPN may perform. PAY RANGE: $26.77 - $34.49 *The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. .
