Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is seeking a Fellowship trained Hematologist/Oncologist in Lubbock, Texas to work at the University Medical Center (UMC) TLC² Foundation Cancer Center. TTUHSC is nationally recognized for innovative research, education, and patient care. UMC is a 500‑bed public, academic medical center with a catchment area and resulting influx of 9,400 transfers from 157 counties across 260,000 square miles. Great Opportunity: The Hematologist/Oncologist will work in UMC’s new 124,000 sq. ft. comprehensive academic cancer center, which opened on April 20th, 2026. The center features: Advanced radiation oncology Infusion & chemotherapy services Outpatient adult and pediatric oncology clinics Two pharmacies – dedicated infusion pharmacy and specialty pharmacy Dedicated research space Clinical trials, Phase I-III, infrastructure Integrative medicine services including acupuncture, massage, art/music therapy, yoga and nutrition A strong philanthropic base, galvanized by the community’s desire for exceptional care, closer to home UMC and TTUHSC strive to impact cancer care for more than 3 million people across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico in alignment with TTUHSC’s Rural Cancer Collaborative efforts.
