About this role

MAJOR FUNCTION:

The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) provides staffing support throughout the medical center to adequately meet the volume and acuity of patients. Float Pool RN's perform direct patient care in a variety of patient care areas such as medical surgical, stepdown, and ICU level of care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

• You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred

• *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:

• Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC

• Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW

• Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM

• Minimum of 3 years post education clinical experience and competencies for desired role in medical surgical acute / stepdown.

Certifications/ Licensure:

• Current New Jersey license

• Current American Heart Association – BLS Health Care Provider

• Current American Heart Association - ACLS.

• Critical Care course required within 6 months of hire.

• Stroke Certification required within 6 months of hire.
