Appian Development & Configuration Develop Appian applications for onboarding, workflow automation, case management, and operational exception handling. Build and configure Appian components including: Process models Records Interfaces Expression rules Data types Sites Groups and security Integrations Reports and dashboards Develop reusable Appian components, shared rules, and standardized workflows. Ensure applications follow Appian development standards, naming conventions, and enterprise best practices. Optimize Appian applications for performance, scalability, usability, and maintainability. Workflow & Case Management Implementation Develop workflows supporting: Customer onboarding Account onboarding Product/service enrollment KYC/KYB review Document collection and review Core banking setup requests Operations case management Exception handling SLA monitoring and escalation Approval and maker-checker workflows Configure task routing, work queues, assignment logic, notifications, escalations, and dashboards. Support audit tracking, workflow history, and operational reporting requirements. Integration Development Develop Appian integrations with: Core banking platforms Customer master/CIF systems Account opening systems KYC/KYB platforms Document management systems Notification services Reporting and analytics platforms Enterprise APIs and middleware services Work with API and middleware teams to implement REST/SOAP integrations, request/response mappings, and error handling. Develop integration retry mechanisms, exception handling workflows, and operational repair processes. Configure database integrations, connected systems, and data synchronization processes. Testing & Deployment Support Support unit testing, system testing, integration testing, UAT, and defect resolution activities. Assist in troubleshooting Appian process issues, interface defects, and integration failures. Support Appian deployment activities, release packaging, and environment migrations. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, demos, and release activities. Support post-production monitoring, issue resolution, and workflow enhancements. Security, Compliance & Documentation Implement role-based access control and security configurations within Appian. Ensure banking workflows maintain auditability, traceability, and compliance requirements. Support secure handling of customer and banking data across workflows, records, and integrations. Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment documentation, support guides, and knowledge transfer materials. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of overall IT experience. 3+ years of hands-on Appian development experience. – A must have. Strong experience with: Appian process models Interfaces Expression rules Records Integrations Data stores Security configuration Experience developing Appian workflow automation and case management solutions. Experience integrating Appian with REST APIs, databases, document management systems, and enterprise services. Understanding of Appian performance optimization, reusable components, and deployment best practices. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills Experience in banking, payments, lending, or financial services domain. Knowledge of KYC/KYB workflows, compliance operations, and operational case management. Experience with Appian deployment automation and DevOps practices. Familiarity with SQL, API testing tools, and middleware platforms. Appian certification(s) preferred.
