We are looking to appoint aFood Technicianto support the Design & Technology department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for food and organisation to play a key role in supporting practical food lessons. About the Role
As aFood Technician, you will support the delivery of Food Technology lessons by ensuring practical sessions run smoothly and safely. You will play an important role behind the scenes, preparing ingredients, organising equipment and helping maintain a safe learning environment for students.
Working closely with the class teacher, you will help students gain hands-on experience in cooking and food preparation while ensuring all practical activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities may include:
Preparing ingredients, equipment and resources for practical food lessonsSupporting teachers and students during practical cooking sessionsMaintaining a safe and hygienic food preparation environmentMonitoring stock levels and ordering ingredients and supplies when requiredCleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and workspaces after lessonsEnsuring health and safety procedures and food hygiene standards are followed at all times
