In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring safe and efficient plant operations by maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment used in food and feed production. You’ll support both preventive and breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring that electrical components, control systems, and plant equipment operate reliably and safely. This position involves working in a fast-paced industrial environment and may require shift work, weekend work, and responding to after-hours maintenance calls when necessary. What You’ll Do Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment and systems Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime Diagnose, troubleshoot, and support PLC-based control systems to maintain efficient and reliable operation of automated plant equipment Maintain and repair electrical components, motors, control systems, and related equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation Support preventive maintenance programs and respond to emergency equipment breakdowns Recommend equipment upgrades, modifications, or improvements to increase reliability and performance Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment changes Follow all plant safety policies and procedures while performing maintenance work Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative team environment What You Bring Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and maintenance practices Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control system issues in a manufacturing environment Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work under time constraints and respond effectively to equipment failures Self-motivated, adaptable, and dependable with a strong safety mindset Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Education and Experience Valid Journeyman Electrician certification Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of OHSA standards, GMPs, HACCP, and applicable food/feed safety regulations Why You’ll Love Working at ADM Be part of a global leader in nutrition and agricultural processing Work with modern equipment and advanced manufacturing processes Opportunities to grow your technical skills and advance your career A culture that values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement The chance to contribute to products that feed people and animals around the world What’s in It for You Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance Competitive retirement plan Paid training and opportunities for career growth A safe, inclusive, and team-oriented workplace The chance to contribute to a global company improving lives through nutrition
