Job Description: The Job
The role of the position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Fire Protection programs to ensure compliance with regulations, promote a safe workplace, and protect the environment. This role involves evaluating hazards, conducting inspections, providing training, investigating incidents, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Your Responsibilities • Maintain and drive compliance with local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Develop and sustain systems to ensure continuous compliance with all permits. • Setup, implement and maintain plant EHS/Security guidelines, programs and emergency response plans according to ADM global standards and local regulatory requirements. • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders at all levels. • Organize the identification and assessment of the plant and process, supervise the implementation of safety management measures. • Organize and implement emergency response plan drills. • Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement. • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of safety incidents, training, and compliance activities. • Ensure the implementation of corrective measures of EHS issues. • Define Sustainability strategies with engaged teams and deliver action plans. • Participate in EHS conference calls, meetings, EHS audit and task forces to proactively share best practices • Investigate safety incidents, near misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. • Oversee fire prevention systems (sprinklers, alarms, hydrants) and compliance with NFPA/GB standards. • Be responsible for plant security management. • Offer guidance and advice to management and employees on EHS matters. • Work with various departments and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. • Report to Plant Manager, Carbohydrate Solutions China
: Your Profile • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred • 5~10 years experience in an environmental health and safety role in a manufacturing environment • National Registered Safety Engineer is required. • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, risk assessment, safety compliance, and relevant industry standards is required. • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. • Ability to work effectively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and stakeholder simultaneously. • Proven experience in EHS management and in leading a professional team to deliver successful defined outcomes against local and global requirements. • Coaching mindset, experience in coaching and influencing others both locally and globally. • Good experience in the use of IT systems for reporting, data management and presentation of key data and information. • Detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of logical analysis under pressure. • Working experience within an MNC environment preferred. • Expericence with dust explosion, waste water treatment, chemicals preferred. • Good command of English skills.
