Sir Thomas Fremantle School is an ambitious 11-16 secondary school at the heart of a close-knit community in North Buckinghamshire. With around 700 students, we pride ourselves on knowing each individual well and nurturing a strong sense of belonging. The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning by providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom. Working closely with teaching staff and the SEND team, you will help create an environment where students feel valued, encouraged and empowered to succeed.

You will:

Support students with a range of additional needs to access learning and make progress across the curriculumWork alongside teachers to adapt learning and provide targeted support within lessonsBuild positive and trusting relationships with students, helping to develop confidence, independence and resilienceTake responsibility for a group of key students, monitoring both their academic progress and wellbeingMaintain regular communication with parents and carers to support student successConduct lesson observations and contribute to the evaluation of student engagement and progressTrack academic performance and support the implementation of appropriate interventionsCarry out regular pastoral check-ins and wellbeing supportHelp ensure students attend and engage fully with interventions tailored to their individual needsContribute to a positive, inclusive and nurturing school environmentWhat We're Looking For We are keen to hear from candidates who:
