Chartered Civil Engineer A dynamic and results-driven Chartered Civil Engineer with strong communication and client-facing skills is required. The ideal candidate will combine technical engineering expertise with business development capabilities, delivering turnkey solutions tailored to client requirements while supporting project execution and design optimisation. Responsibilities: 1. Client Engagement & Business Development • Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to identify and approach potential clients for turnkey civil engineering solutions. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. • Lead technical discussions with clients to clearly understand project requirements, constraints, and expectations. • Ensure consistent and proactive communication with clients throughout the pre-award phase to secure project opportunities. 2. Proposal Development • Analyse client requirements, specifications, and tender documents in detail. • Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals aligned with project specifications and company capabilities. • Develop cost-effective and competitive solutions while maintaining quality and compliance standards. 3. Engineering & Design Support • Assist in the preparation and review of structural designs, calculations, and drawings where required. • Coordinate with internal design teams and external consultants to ensure design accuracy and feasibility. • Provide technical input during project planning and proposal stages. 4. Value Engineering • Identify and propose value engineering opportunities to optimise cost, materials, and construction methods. • Develop innovative alternatives that enhance project efficiency and provide a competitive advantage during bidding. 5. Presentations & Technical Representation • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, stakeholders, and management when required. • Represent the company at meetings, pre-bid conferences, and technical discussions. 6. Project Handover & Execution Support • Ensure a smooth transition from business development to project execution teams following project award. • Provide all necessary technical documentation, clarifications, and background information to the execution team. • Continue supporting execution teams with technical advice and client coordination where required. Candidate Profile: • Chartered Civil Engineer with a strong background in Civil/Structural Engineering. • Experience in turnkey construction/civil engineering projects (design and execution exposure preferred). • Strong ability to combine technical engineering knowledge with business development activities. • Experience in client engagement and identifying project opportunities within the construction industry. • Ability to clearly understand client requirements, project constraints, and technical expectations. • Experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals for tender submissions. • Strong knowledge of structural design principles, construction methods, and site execution processes.
