Washington National Tax Office Partnership Tax Senior Associate Job Description: As the WNTO Partnership Tax Senior Associate, you’ll demonstrate and maintain technical expertise in matters related to Partnership (Subchapter K) tax, as well as provide technical training and thought leadership in the Partnership (Subchapter K) tax area for your GT professionals and variety of clients – all with the resources, environment and support to help you excel. You’ll collaborate with WNTO leadership and staff and consult with internal and external clients on the technical aspects of tax-efficient structuring of partnership formation, disposition, and restructuring transactions, and on operational matters, including capital account maintenance and partnership allocations, and prepare technical memoranda on issues arising in such consultations because together is how we succeed. Your day-to-day may include:

• Perform research and analysis on core Subchapter K tax issues, and review partnership agreements and transaction documents in connection with partnership tax compliance and consulting matters • Draft, edit, and refine technical memoranda, guidance, and training materials using clear, structured, and concise language • Leverage LLM tools to enhance writing quality, consistency, and scalability of technical content • Translate complex Subchapter K concepts (e.g., capital accounts, allocations, basis, disguised sales) into plain-English explanations for internal and external audiences • Collaborate with leadership to support thought leadership, knowledge management, and internal training initiatives • Work across teams to ensure technical content is consistent, practical, and aligned with firm positions • Support client and internal consultations by synthesizing technical issues into well-reasoned written deliverables • Continuously improve processes for producing high-quality, scalable technical content You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • Licensed attorney (JD), with preference for LLM in Taxation • If not a licensed attorney, licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office or eligible to sit for the CPA • Background in tax, law, accounting, or a related technical discipline preferred, but not required • Strong writing, editing, and content preparation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear conclusions • Strong organizational and project management skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools preferred • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10%) The base salary range for this position in the Metro DC - Arlington location only is between $109,296 to $121,176. #LI-JC5
