We’re looking for a Platform Operations Lead to join our team Location : Sydney Salary: AUD 150,742– 171,215 Annual Gross Please Note: - The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes Role Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Platform Operation lead to serve as the top-tier escalation point for infrastructure issues, lead complex troubleshooting efforts, and drive continuous improvement across Platform operations. This role demands deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating across teams. Key Responsibilities: Administer and support Control‑M components (Enterprise Manager, Server, Agents) ensuring platform availability, stability, and performance. Perform job onboarding and workflow design: create/modify/retire jobs, folders, sub‑applications, and end‑to‑end workflows as per build standards. Configure and maintain dependencies/conditions, resources, calendars, and SLA-driven scheduling for enterprise batch workloads. Manage Control‑M governance: naming conventions, folder structures, parameterization, templates, and scheduling best practices; perform periodic compliance reviews. Proactively monitor batch cycles, handle failures/restarts/reruns, and perform impact analysis to meet SLAs and reduce recurrence. Support Change Management by validating batch-related changes and implementing only through approved ITSM processes and freeze windows. Manage Control‑M integrations/modules: MFT/AFT, Automation API, Application Integrator, and other plugins (DB/Web Services/Cloud such as AWS/Azure where applicable). Perform/coordinate installation, upgrades, patching, configuration reviews, and migrations for Control‑M components as per the agreed support/ownership model. Configure and maintain SSL/TLS and certificate requirements for relevant components (as applicable). Provide z/OS batch operational support using Control‑M: monitor daily/weekly/month-end schedules, analyze SYSOUT/condition codes, and execute recovery with JCL overrides/utilities. Operate and support Control‑D report processing: generation, indexing, archival, secure distribution, and maintenance of mission/report definitions. Provide L2/L3 support for Control‑D Web Access: troubleshoot report visibility/access issues and perform Web Access patching/upgrades/config reviews. Manage/coordinate certificate updates for Control‑D Web Access, including connectivity certificate alignment with mainframe gateway components (e.g., IOAGATE) as per stakeholder ownership. Administer and support Axway SecureTransport / Axway MFT for secure file transfers across internal systems and external partners. Configure/manage SFTP users, trading partners, channels, directories, routing rules, and authentication (key/password/certificate-based). Monitor Axway platform health and transfers: uptime, connection load, logs, failures/retries, and ensure timely resolution of incidents/requests/changes. Troubleshoot complex transfer issues (connectivity, permissions, routing, automation errors) and coordinate with network/security/infrastructure teams for cross-functional resolution. Ensure security and compliance for file transfers: SSH/SSL/TLS/PGP, certificate/SSH key lifecycle management, and audit evidence support. Support Axway platform upgrades/patching/migrations and coordinate monthly OS patching as per schedules and policy. Build/maintain automation scripts (Shell/Bash/Python/PowerShell) to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance monitoring/reporting Skills & Competencies: Essential: Administer and support Axway SecureTransport / Axway MFT for secure file transfers across internal systems and external partners.
