Job Description: Would you like to join a team dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and secure environment at the Disneyland® Resort? Our Security Cast Members are highly visible and play a key role in ensuring the safety of all Guests and Cast Members across our parks and hotels. This role focuses on using strong communication and conflict-resolution skills while delivering exceptional Guest Service.
Additional Information: SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.

Basic Qualifications: • You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role • Strong communication skills • Possess a current California Driver License with no moving violations for the past twelve (12) months • Must meet the physical demands, including but not limited to: Prolonged standing for two to three hours at a time • Constant standing and walking • Constant use of hands • Comfort using a radio/earpiece throughout the shift • Comfort working in large crowds and high-energy environments • Strong computer proficiency, including typing skills and the ability to navigate through multiple computer systems • Full availability for three (3) weeks of training Cast Members interested in any Disneyland Resort hourly transfer are encouraged to talk to their Leader before submitting an application In order to be eligible to transfer, Cast Members must meet the Resort Hourly Transfer eligibility guidelines: • Must be a currently active Cast Member (not on any type of leave of absence) • Must be in the current area for 4 months • Availability must meet the scheduling needs of the new department • Performance record must be clear of any work performance/attendance issues (written warnings or suspensions) within the past 4 months
Preferred Qualifications: • Bilingual preferred • Previous Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or related Public Safety experience • Previous security responsibilities for a multi-site campus facility (either corporate or college setting) • Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, which includes nights, weekends, 3rd shift, and holidays is preferred
Responsibilities: At the Disneyland® Resort, we take pride in protecting the Magic in onstage and backstage locations. You will be well-trained, joining a cohesive team providing 24/7 protection for fellow Cast Members and guests all across the resort.
• Demonstrate Safety as a primary focus • Exhibit outstanding Guest Service skills • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism • Respond to critical incidents including emergencies, evacuations, Company policy violations, and work with law enforcement • Act as a visible, engaged presence to deter undesirable behaviors while promoting a safe and welcoming environment • Assist with Guests who may be intoxicated or experiencing distress • Able to perform hotel evacuation procedures • Operate automatic and manual vehicle deterrent systems such as bollards • Ensure authorized personnel enter on site using a computer to verify approved access • Apply specialized training and methodologies to identify potential indicators of unusual and suspicious conduct • Maintain continuous, positive engagement with Guests, Cast Members, Vendors, and Operating Participants • Maintain situational awareness at all times • Perform bag checks and other inspections to verify no unauthorized items enter or leave property • Work with operating participants and understand various service standards of the hospitality industry
Compensation Details: The pay rate for this role in California is $26.00 per hour.
The base pay actually offered follows the minimum wage scale agreed upon in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
