We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team, working within our Reception classes. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with strong experience in Early Years education who is passionate about supporting young children at the start of their school journey.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
Work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the EYFS curriculumPlay an active role in shaping a stimulating Reception environment, that maximises learning opportunities through high‑quality continuous provisionActively engage with the children within the environment, to promote their learning and development.Assist with observations, assessments and record‑keeping to support children’s progresProvide targeted interventions, including phonics using the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised schemeRecognise and respond to the growing range of special educational needs (SEN) within the reception cohort We are looking for someone who:
Has proven experience working in a reception class, including setting up the learning environment and supporting learning within the continuous provision.Has a good understanding of EYFS development, early reading and phonicsHas experience delivering or supporting phonics interventions.Is patient, caring, flexible and works well as part of a teamHas excellent communication skills with children, staff and parents
