St Hilda's CE Primary School is part of Vantage CE Academies Trust which was set up in 2012 and is one of 10 schools across Manchester, Trafford, Salford, Bolton and Knowsley. It is a place of learning where all are inspired to achieve together.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant Level 2 (One to One SEND Support) who has:
· Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role
· Experience of working with children with SEN
· Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions (e.g. autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech & language difficulties)
· Ability to reinforce lesson material, adapt resources, and assist with tasks to support learning progress
· Patience, empathy, resilience and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
· Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to work as a part of a team
· Punctual and reliable
· Calm and resilient approach
This role will involve supporting children with SEND inside and outside the classroom, a strong understanding of SEMH and ability to remain calm and supportive is essential.
This role will be ideal for someone who has a positive and caring approach when working with children who have special educational needs (SEN). You will be required to work closely with the class teachers and support the child , encouraging them to engage with various activities to help them to achieve success and to learn. Experience or understanding of SEMH or ADHD would be of help, but is not essential.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8.40am -3.15pm with 35-minute unpaid lunch break. Term Time plus 5 INSET Days
Actual Salary for part time and term time working (including SEN Allowance): £19,112.65 per annum
This role is subject to additional pupil funding and will cease when the pupil leaves the school or funding ends whichever is sooner; and this will be reviewed annually.
