About this role

St Nicholas CE Primary Academy is seeking a reliable, dedicated and detail‑oriented Cleaner to join our friendly and hardworking site team. This role is essential in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.

You will play a key part in ensuring our school remains a place where children can learn, play and thrive in a hygienic and well‑maintained setting.

Hours: 12.5 hours per week (3.30pm - 6.00pm), term time only Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Clean classrooms, cloakrooms, toilets, offices and other allocated areas to a high standardSweep, mop, dust and vacuum (including barrier matting)Empty bins and manage waste appropriatelyReplenish consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet tissueOperate cleaning equipment safely and effectivelyFollow Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines at all timesWear appropriate PPE/uniform during working hoursTake instruction and guidance from the Academy Operations Manager We are looking for someone who has:

Good communication skillsAbility to work well as part of a team and also use initiativeReliability, attention to detail and a strong work ethicExperience in a school or similar environment (desirable but not essential)Understanding of COSHH and safe working practices What we can offer:
