Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Successful experience of teaching in a primary school. Secure knowledge of the National Curriculum. Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills. Ability to establish positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff. Strong organisational and communication skills. Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils. Sound understanding of safeguarding responsibilities. Flexible, adaptable and able to teach confidently across different year groups.
Desirable
Experience of teaching across the primary age groups. Experience of delivering lessons from pre-prepared planning as well as planning independently where required. Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and adapting teaching to meet a range of learning needs. Knowledge of current educational developments and effective primary pedagogy.
