About this role

Opportunity Overview

This post is a role that will develop an innovative, chemical-free, vacuum-insulated hot water cylinder that reduces heat loss and improves energy efficiency. This project will embed advanced thermal modelling and manufacturing expertise, supporting the UK’s transition to low-carbon heating and strengthening domestic capability in sustainable hot water storage solutions.

This project presents a multifaceted challenge, offering substantial opportunities for technical, commercial, and professional development.

You will be responsible for leading the design, simulation, and implementation of a novel vacuum-insulated, chemical-free hot water cylinder. This will require mastering advanced thermal modelling, vacuum technology, and automation, and adapting these innovations to a high-volume manufacturing environment.

You will also develop and validate new testing protocols and manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with stringent energy efficiency and regulatory standards.

You will manage a strategically important project for World Heat and be required to manage stakeholder expectations.
