Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time ward clerk to join the Same Day Emergency Care team at Harrogate Hospital for an 12 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will work 2 days a week (covering a 7 day service).
We are looking for someone who can cope well within a rapidly changing environment, who can multi-task and who can handle the often challenging demands of a busy department.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
Liaise with patients and their family. Have an excellent telephone manner Will assist all members of the MDT to perform their roles to the best of their ability. Maintain electronic patient records. Use the Nervecentre and PCS systems to admit patients to allow for the wider team to record their documentation.

Essential/Desirable criteria. Essential
3 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at grade C or above. NHS experience. Previous administrative experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience and competence with patient systems. Appropriate use of AI use in application.
Desirable
Nervecentre and PCS experience.
