Job summary
Waterside Medical Centre is a well established NHS GP Practice conveniently located in the centre of Leamington Spa. We are looking for a receptionist care coordinator to join our friendly team with 16-24 hours a week available.
This role would suit someone looking for part-time work and could fit around other commitments such as university study with regular hours and overtime available.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the general administrative and reception duties within the Practice and work with our established processes, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high-quality service and deal efficiently and courteously with patient enquiries.
Your regular duties in this role will be dealing with telephone, face to face and electronic enquiries, booking and/or amending patient appointments and home visits, contacting patients to provide information from the clinical team and assisting patients to access our services and those available in the wider community.
Hours of work for reception staff are 7:30am-6:30pm Monday to Friday with Saturday and evening overtime available.

The main duties of this role include:
Contributing to the day to day running of reception.Opening premises and checking heating and ventilation.Restoration of telephone and IT equipment.Registration of new Patients.Booking Appointments for Patients.Booking Patients as they arrive in Reception.Monitoring and Directing Patient flow throughout the surgery.Overseeing Waiting Room.Contributing to keeping the admin and paperwork up-to-date.Scanning of Patients correspondence, Hospital letters, reports etc. ensuring medical records are kept up to date.Ensuring Doctors consulting room is kept tidy and stocked with appropriate forms.Operating computer for repeat prescriptions.Preparation of repeat prescriptions including EPS system and ensuring these are signed and checked by the Doctor.Operating computer for recording all information as required.Transferring phones to appropriate people as required.Attending courses, practice meetings etc. as required.Maintaining confidentiality at all times.Making refreshments for Doctor, Healthcare professionals & visitors as required.Any other duties as may be required by Practice Manager or Doctor.Use of email for corresponding with practice teams and other agencies.Summarising medical records.Distribution of mail.

GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths Reception training
