Our Future Leadership Structure sees our clinical teams working more closely with partners at place level alongside strengthening clinical and professional leadership. Main duties of the job

As Acute Operational Manager, you will work closely with the Locality Leadership Team to ensure that high quality care is delivered within your services and will provide professional leadership to the Locality workforce.

You will promote a culture of learning and openness and ensure staff have the knowledge, capability, systems and support to deliver evidence based care and embed lessons learned in practice for the improvement of patient experience.

The post holder will be expected to fully support with the strategic and operational planning and delivery for their designated specialist service area(s) within the locality and to be responsible for the effective day-to-day operational issues arising within the service. They will lead the services using engagement and communication skills to ensure that NSFT is truly embodying the Trust Values.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Education to degree level or evidence of sound intellectual ability and ongoing personal development at senior management level Recognised postgraduate management qualification or equivalent experience.

Desirable

Masters level education or demonstrable equivalent experience

Experience Essential

Significant experience working within and Managing clinical services Significant general and operational management experience to include the management of a large multi-disciplinary group of staff - part of which to have been in the NHS

Desirable

Working in mental health
