AACC covers Adult Continuing Healthcare, Children and Young Peoples Continuing Care (CYP), NHS Funded Nursing Care (FNC), and joint funded care packages.

Main duties of the job

Role duties and responsibilities:

To support the provision of timely and comprehensive administrative service to the AACC teams, working to deadlines and maintaining a high standard of work.

To maintain accurate recording and following agreed processes to ensure comprehensive case records are maintained, data integrity protected, and standardised approaches are in place across the AACC service.

To work in a supportive manner with other members of the AACC service to ensure the smooth running of the servie; supporting administrative tasks on specific pieces of work and projects, ensuring appropriate administrative cover agreements are in place.

Ensuring that all care packages have clear contractual agreements, service specifications, funding agreements, invoicing arrangements and contract monitoring arrangements in place.

Responsible for decisions made during the course of duties, seeking guidance and escalating issues where appropriate

Diploma level qualification or equivalent level of experience in relevant administrative role

Excellent communication skills. You should be self-motivated, highly organised, flexible and have a can-do attitude

Job description Job responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE / SUMMARY

The Greater Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) will be a new organisation formed through the consolidation of three ICB areas in response to the NHSs ambition to deliver a more streamlined, strategic and cost-effective model of health commissioning. The ICB will oversee the commissioning of care for the approximately 2 million people who live in Greater Essex, including Essex, Thurrock and Southend-on-Sea. Operating within a reduced running cost envelope and aligned to the new requirements of ICBs in England, the Greater Essex ICB will focus on improving population health outcomes, health equity and smarter resource allocation.

The AACC service delivers the statutory duties of the ICB to assess and to provide services that meet the identified needs of those found eligible for Continuing Healthcare. The service delivers that duty through the implementation of the National Framework for Continuing Healthcare and NHS Funded Nursing Care and the National Framework for Children and Young Peoples Continuing Care.

The Administrator will provide effective and efficient administrative support to AACC clinical teams. This will include a range of administrative tasks such as diary management, booking assessments and meetings, producing accurate minutes and actions, corresponding with service providers and service users, producing documentation.

As the ICB transitions to become a leaner, more focused strategic commissioning organisation the post holder will be expected to support AACC in delivering on the three fundamental shifts set out in the NHS 10-year plan:

From Treatment to Prevention: Embedding preventative, personalised and population based approaches to commissioning.From Hospital to Community: Championing care model redesign that supports community and neighbourhood health.From Analogue to Digital: Enabling clinically driven transformation through digital innovation, data analytics and evidence based improvement.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
