Site: Leaders in Oncology Care, part of The Harley Street Campus, HCA Healthcare

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Shift times: 8am-6pm (and contribution to on-calls on a rota basis)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive Depending on Experience (with Excellent Benefits)

We have a a brand new exciting opportunity for a Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our Aseptics team at our Leaders in Oncology Care site. Our flagship outpatient centre in Central London, currently rated Outstanding by the CQC, is dedicated to carrying out innovative, day-case cancer treatment. It's fully equipped to deliver a range of cancer treatments in calm and comfortable surroundings.

Main duties of the job

Working alongside the rest of the Onc-Haem team, this role is predominantly based at Leaders in Oncology Care. The postholder will provide leadership and support to staff in the aseptic unit in preparing SACT, prioritising and organising workload, performing inspection checks and maintaining documentation for the unit. They will ensure the unit meets all the requirements of all quality assurance audits and reports, working closely with the Lead Oncology Pharmacist and Head Technician to develop the service using innovation and new ways of working. They will also work collaboratively with the Lead Tech for Patient Services and Lead Oncology Pharmacist to ensure overall cancer pharmacy services are safe, efficient, progressive whilst also consistent in approach to other services within the pharmacy department.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Registereda Pharmacy Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) NVQ level 3 in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent

Experience Essential

Leadership experience in managing an aseptic unit
