The Medical Secretariat Performance & Operational Lead is a senior operational leadership role with Trust-wide impact. The post-holder is responsible for the strategic oversight, performance, governance and continuous improvement of Medical Secretariat services, ensuring safe, effective and high quality administrative support to clinical services.

Education/ Qualifications Essential
Educated to degree level or equivalent OR relevant significant experience Evidence of relevant ongoing professional development

Management Qualification
Knowledge Essential
Knowledge of and practical application on HR and employment law In-depth knowledge of Information governance and data protection legislation within the NHS Comprehensive knowledge of NHS operational management Policies Detailed understanding of medical staffing structures and interface between clinical and administrative staff

Knowledge of Trust wide performance frameworks, KPIs and service improvement methodologies
skills/ experience Essential
Significant experience working at a senior operational or management level within the NHS or comparable complex organisation Proven experience of line managing staff including senior staff with responsibility for supervision, appraisal etc Ability to interpret, analyse and present complex data and reports Experience of budget management Demonstrable experience of influencing service strategy, redesign or performance at division or Trust level
