Main duties of the job As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:

Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to call out and report safety concerns. Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff (in full compliance with all policies and procedures) Support governance activity, ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health's Quality governance framework and national standards, e.g. CQC/HIW/HIS Regulation, fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence-based guidelines. Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, friends and representatives with kindness, dignity, respect and compassion and support them to cope emotionally with their care, treatment or condition. Collaborate with other clinicians within the Hospital, building strong working relationships that enhance patient care and service delivery. Take charge of a theatre, co-ordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners.

The Nuffield Health Derby Hospital is a modern, purpose-built hospital with 38 en-suite beds, three operating theatres, and together with a comprehensive range of outpatient services.

The Radiology department is a small but busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT. Set in beautiful grounds, we're about 3 miles from the city centre, within easy reach of all major roads and bus routes.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our Derby Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including HCPC registration. You bring a passion for high standards in perioperative care, a meticulous eye for detail and post-registration experience. You're a focused, flexible and motivated team worker.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:

Qualifications Essential

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our Derby Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including HCPC registration.

Experience Essential

You bring a passion for high standards in perioperative care, a meticulous eye for detail and post-registration experience. You're a focused, flexible and motivated team worker.
