Job summary
We are looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our patient focused, caring and friendly GP Practice. The HCA will deliver treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education and support the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services. They will also help the surgery achieve QoF targets.
Experience working within a General Practice environment is desirable and phlebotomy skills are essential, salary is negotiable depending on experience. A friendly personality, competent clinical skills, together with an interest in further training and personal development is vital. The ability to work autonomously within a busy team environment is essential.
Main duties of the job
Role/Job Summary:
Conduct audit and patient screening in pursuance of the objectives of the Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF).
To provide treatment room services to patients of the practice, within the training and professional competence of the post holder.
Support the Doctors and Nursing/HCA teams in providing an effective level of care to the practice patient population.
Undertake tasks and duties as delegated by the practice nurse leader or suitably qualified regulated professional.
Ensure own actions are professional and consistent with practice policy/protocols.

Purpose: To assist the GPs and Practice Nurse Team in the service and delivery of the care management of the Practice population
Job Summary: To assist in patient care and practice related duties as directed by and under the supervision of a registered healthcare professional. To have a knowledge of chronic disease management and provide support in the delivery of QoF.
To assist with the ordering process across all 4 practice sites.
