Job Summary: Coherent is seeking a Senior Counsel, Government Contracts (U.S.) to serve as a legal subject matter expert on U.S. federal government contracting matters across the company’s operations. This attorney will play a critical role in advising on compliance with FAR, DFARS, and CMMC requirements, supporting Coherent’ s engagement with the Department of Defense (DoD) and other U.S. government agencies. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in government contracts law, strong business judgment, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, risk-based guidance for engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams.
