About this role
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide a positive role model to students and staff.
• Organize programs for students, including personal development, family home evenings, meals, service, contact with home, etc.
• Provide supervision for students living in dorm, ensuring their safety, security, and good conduct.
• Monitor each student to ensure personal hygiene, grooming, and proper attire is observed according to school dress code.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and orderly living environment that is conducive to spiritual, academic & positive social growth.
• Manages behavioural issues according within school policies and reports concerns to the school principal for coordination.
• Assist with homework, study schedules.
• Coordinate and conduct early morning and evening devotionals.
• Conduct regular bed checks.
• Take care of ill students as needed. Accompany students to doctor visits, shopping visits, Church, etc.
• Support the parents and a spiritual figure head in the dorm.
• Plan and supervise holiday programs
• Updates school principal often with dorm facility needs.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Has post-secondary qualifications
• Models and teaches the school and dormitory rules Honour Code
• Has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, leaders and others
• Has ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
• Sensitive to adolescent/teenage issues
• Able to speak English
• Basic – Intermediate computer skills
• Dorm Supervisor experience
• Maintains Temple worthiness standards
• Police report is required
