As a Customer Service Associate, you will be the primary point of contact for customers who have outstanding debts. Your role is to build rapport, understand their financial situation, and collaboratively develop a suitable payment plan. You will need to effectively communicate the importance of timely payments while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.

• Contact customers with outstanding debts via phone, email, or other agreed-upon methods. • Listen to and understand customers' financial circumstances to tailor payment plans accordingly. • Negotiate and agree on realistic payment schedules, ensuring timely and regular payments. • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment arrangements. • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and respectful experience. • Follow up with customers to ensure payment plan adherence and offer support as needed. • Escalate complex or sensitive cases to the appropriate team members or managers. • Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices in debt collection. • Collaborate with the collections team to achieve department goals and targets.

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred but not mandatory. • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or a related field, preferably in collections or debt recovery. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles. • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport quickly. • Empathy and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving. • Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office. • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of cases. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset. • Willingness to undergo training and development opportunities.
