We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic full time Specialty Doctor to join our North Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
You will work as part of a welcoming and supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality mental health care within the community. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and a wide range of professionals, supporting a service that is focused on recovery, collaboration and meeting the diverse needs of our local population.

Main duties of the job
This post is based within the North Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) at New Mill, Shipley. The successful candidate will work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and the wider multidisciplinary team as a senior member of the medical workforce, contributing to the assessment, treatment and ongoing management of adults with complex mental health needs in a community setting.
The post holder will undertake assessments of new referrals, complete regular medical reviews, and develop and implement patient-centred care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. They will participate in daily huddles, multidisciplinary meetings and leadership discussions, as well as provide clinical advice and support to other team members.
In the absence of the Consultant Psychiatrist, the post holder will provide clinical leadership within the team, supporting decision-making and ensuring continuity of care. They will also contribute to the supervision and support of junior medical staff and trainees within the community setting.
The role includes involvement in Mental Health Act (MHA) work, including preparing reports for patients subject to Community Treatment Orders and participating in relevant assessments and processes as required. The successful candidate will work with the Consultant Psychiatrist in managing MHA-related responsibilities and ensuring high-quality, safe and effective care.

Training & Qualifications Essential
Full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council Have completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or shall have equivalent experience and competencies
