We are seeking an autonomous, skilled ARRS Paramedic to join our multidisciplinary team at Dordon and Polesworth Group Practice. Operating within a primary care setting, you will provide advanced clinical assessment, triage, treatment, and urgent care.
Your expertise will directly manage undifferentiated presentations, support long-term condition management, and deliver crucial same-day accesssignificantly reducing health inequalities and easing demand on our GP clinical team.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Autonomous Care: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, triage, and treat patients presenting with acute, undifferentiated, or chronic conditions within your scope of practice. Home Visits: Lead and manage acute home visits for vulnerable or frail patients, ensuring high-quality lone-working safety protocols are followed. Clinical Decision Making: Make independent, evidence-based clinical decisions, escalating complex cases to MDT colleagues or GPs when necessary. Proactive Care: Contribute to population health initiatives, clinical audits, QOF targets, and frailty management to optimize patient outcomes. Documentation: Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using practice systems (EMIS).

Knowledge and Skills Essential
Strong clinical judgment & guidelines knowledge Excellent communication & time management Ability to work well in an MDT Understanding of QOF, frailty models, and local community pathways Availability to work well in an MDT Ability to work Fridays (Compulsory) Flexibility to support practice growth
Qualifications Essential
HCPC Registered Paramedic BSc in Paramedic Science - or equivalent
Desirable
Independent Prescriber - or actively working towards it
Experience Essential
Minimum 2 years post-registration clinical experience Experience in independent triage and diagnostics
Desirable
Prior experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or a PCN setting Experience using EMIS clinical software
