BAE Systems is seeking a motivated and adaptable Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic Underwater Systems team in Hudson, New Hampshire. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to learn and contribute to the development of cutting-edge defense technologies for our nation’s security. This position requires full-time, on-site presence at a BAE Systems facility due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the essential nature of on-site work for this role. As a Mechanical Technician, you will: Perform a variety of production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, from repetitive tasks to more complex builds. Assist engineers in the development, testing, fabrication, modification, and assembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical parts and systems based on engineering drawings and specifications. Utilize hand and power tools, jigs, and fixtures. Training will be provided for operation of overhead hoists and forklifts. Adhere to all safety protocols, including respirator certification and the safe handling of chemicals using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site . This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
