Come build your career with us. Responsible for ensuring that all work is performed and completed as specified by contract, engineering drawings/specifications and applicable codes. Works closely with in-house resources, building contractors, and service vendors to operate, maintain, service and repair building BAS infrastructure. Maintain BAS credentials and proficiency through continued education, seminars etc. Proficient with managing software updates, licensing and IT security gateways, protocols and fire walls. Actively seek and propose implementing new technologies where cost effective. Proactively optimize site control systems to manage operating costs for a wide variety of mechanical systems such as: HVAC systems, chillers, towers, compressors, power distribution systems, etc. Proficient in open protocol Tridium Niagara building automation system and a variety of other direct digital control (DDC) protocols including but not limited to BACnet, ModBus, PUP and AAM Design, install, repair, test, commission, operate, and maintain all types of BAS control equipment, as well as write and modify control programs. Perform trending on Building Automation Systems, specific utility interface programs, analyze the data and adjust the operational parameters for energy savings, functionality and reliability. Ability to support facilities utilizing the Building Automation System to troubleshoot equipment. Proactively participate in/ lead company sustainability efforts and team meetings and have ability to work with and provide input to support BAE's Net Zero initiative through energy conservation, sustainability practices, and local city saving programs. Must be able to read and work from prints, wiring diagrams, sketches, handbooks, manufacturer documents, etc. Provide oversight of contractors and in-house skilled trades during construction projects. Work closely with others (both internal and external) as needed to optimize the operation of the BAS and achieve the required results. Interface with third party equipment and utilities. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and be able to communicate clearly on aspects of building automation and sustainability.
