Platform & Services is seeking a Pipefitter. The Pipe Shop First Class Mechanic performs a variety of skilled mechanical duties involving general fitting piping systems on vessels, burning/brazing, testing and sketching piping systems. The First Class Mechanic operates equipment for assembly and installation; performs preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery; records work performed and follows specified safety policies and procedure. Laying out, presenting, fitting, and installing pipe, tubing, and related equipment. This includes installing valves, hangers, and supports. Cutting, threading, and bending pipes to specific lengths and angles using tools like pipe cutters, threading machines, and torches. Connecting pipes using various techniques, including welding, soldering, brazing, and threading. Conduct pressure tests and leak checks to ensure the integrity of the system before it becomes operational. Inspecting existing piping systems for wear, corrosion, or leaks and replacing damaged sections. Interpreting technical drawings, isometric sketches, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required for a project. Openings on both 1st and 2nd shift. Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $29.00 to $35.00 per hour (or $60,320 to $72,800 annually). Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as shift differentials or the terms outlined in an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will ultimately determine your wages.
