Under general supervision, the Lobby Services Associate performs a full range of customer service duties to ensure visitors are greeted warmly and provided with all necessary information for an optimal patient and visitor experience. This includes managing wayfinding, screening for health and safety compliance, processing visitor information, and escorting patients as needed. The role involves collaboration with multiple departments, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, supporting communication between medical staff and families, and ensuring patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

• Provides information, wayfinding tools, and literature to visitors, including guiding them to specific departments and patient rooms. Handles phone calls and directs inquiries to the appropriate department or supervisor as needed. May interface with other departments and/or resources to ensure a positive visitor experience. • Greets and interfaces with all visitors as they arrive or exit. Obtains necessary information to provide appropriate informational guidance back to all visitors, including securing transportation. • Ensures that visitors and/or patients reach their destination by providing directions, instructions and/or directly escorting them safely across the facility. Facilitates communication between medical staff and waiting families, providing updates on patient status. • Monitors and assists visitors in waiting areas, ensuring comfort and adherence to policies, while maintaining a clean and professional lobby and/or office area with available informational literature. • Performs temperature checks and screens visitors for symptoms as required, following screening protocols in accordance with CDC and CDPH guidelines. • Processes visitors according to current visitation guidelines utilizing visitor management software program. • Conducts patient lookups utilizing CS Link. • Provides patient escorts for procedure patients. • Works in conjunction with EVS, Facilities, Nursing, Security, and Admissions to ensure all of the above. • Maintains patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines. • Performs timely notification of regulatory agency presence on campus. • Provide assistance with paperwork and support data entry tasks as needed. • Transport items to patient rooms and nursing stations. • Other duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma/GED - minimum

Experience

• 1 year Customer service and/or front desk experience. - minimum • 3 years Customer service and/or front desk experience. - preferred
