Job summary
The Community Services Division aims to deliver the highest standards of care in maternity, sexual health, gynaecology and a range of acute and community children's services. We deliver over 6,000 babies and carry around 1,500 gynaecological procedures each year. The Trust also has a tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, enabling 1 in 4 women across Greater Manchester to receive in-utero transfer and birth at extreme premature gestation at Bolton.
The 0-19 Public health nursing workforce delivers the healthy child program and supports all children in Bolton aged 0-19 (25 including SEND) in order to do this effectively we require clerical and admin support.
The post holder will be responsible for providing efficient and comprehensive admin and clerical support to a neighbourhood team/service within the Community Services Division 0-19/25 services.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for preparing and maintaining records, ensuring all IT and paper based systems are updated accordingly, arranging appointments, order and maintain stationary supplies, record minutes from team meetings, maintain efficient filing systems, respond to all public and staff enquiries by telephone and face to face, relaying clear, legible messages, type appointment letters/correspondence on request and provide clerical support for other teams upon request.
To receive and action incoming referrals for appointments. Maintain a filing system, ensuring copies of letters and other documents are filled appropriately. Maintain appointments systems, ensuring accuracy of detail and patient information.
Ensure patients receive timely and accurate information in relation to their appointment needs.
To observe personal duty of care in relation to equipment and resources used within the centre.
To deal courteously and efficiently with any telephone enquiries, ensuring that all actions relating to telephone calls are communicated to nurses/practitioners where appropriate.
Liaise with managers/nurses regarding any difficulties in offering appointments to patients.
Responsible for gathering information as required relating to clients. To maintain and utilise electronic systems to support the service and your role. Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Line Manager.
