As a Coll - EXE, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our collections team. Your primary focus will be to ensure efficient and effective debt recovery processes, while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance. You will lead, motivate, and develop a team of collections professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the collections team, ensuring efficient and timely debt recovery. • Develop and implement strategies to maximize recovery rates and minimize delinquency. • Lead and mentor a team of collections professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance. • Monitor and analyze collection performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining a high standard of ethical practices. • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including other departments and senior management. • Collaborate with the customer care team to resolve complex customer inquiries and complaints related to collections. • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in collections, implementing innovative approaches when necessary. • Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership. • Ensure the team adheres to company policies and procedures, maintaining a professional and respectful work culture.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a collections leadership role, preferably in a financial services or similar industry. • Proven track record of successfully managing and motivating a team of collections professionals. • Excellent knowledge of debt recovery processes and strategies, with a strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements. • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships. • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams. • Proficiency in using collections management software and tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies. • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to drive collection performance. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • A customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and building long-term customer relationships.
