This is an exciting time to join our Community District Nursing Services as a Registered Nursing Associate within the Central locality in two locations across our footprint (Chorley, South Ribble and Preston). Main duties of the job

Applicants will need to demonstrate their competency and experience in line with the person specification and will be required to work flexibly across a seven-day rota.To provide direct clinical care to patients with identified specialist or complex needs.To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and carry out a diverse range of duties, providing support to the nurse leadership, ensuring effective assessment, formulation, planning and monitoring of care.Maintaining a positive and open attitude towards organisational change and service development.To take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and continued professional development plan.To actively promote the organisations values including kindness, teamwork, respect and learning.To work to a defined shift pattern with a service responsible for the provision of care 24/7 365 days per year.

Person Specification

Education/ qualifications Essential

Registered Nursing Associate Foundation Degree On-going registration with the NMC. Evidence of Continued Professional Development that supports clinical practice.

Knowledge Essential

Can demonstrate a solid understanding and knowledge base of the needs of patients under the district nursing service Can demonstrate a thorough understanding and knowledge of various physical health conditions

Experience Essential

Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs.

Skills and Abilities Essential

Excellent communication, listening, decision-making and problem-solving skills. Clinical skills with a clear ability to understand new concepts and ideas in clinical practice. Can provide evidence of recent continued professional development within the scope of nursing. An ability to understand how research and audits effect and benefit practice
