As a Customer Service Associate, you will play a vital role in our Collections team, ensuring a positive and professional experience for our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to contact customers with outstanding debts and guide them through the process of creating suitable payment plans. This role requires a high level of empathy, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers.

• Contact customers with overdue accounts to discuss payment options and negotiate payment plans. • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment arrangements. • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and respectful tone in all communications. • Educate customers on the importance of timely payments and the potential consequences of non-payment. • Collaborate with the Collections team to develop effective strategies for debt recovery. • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in debt collection and customer service. • Handle customer inquiries and provide accurate information regarding their accounts. • Escalate complex or sensitive cases to the appropriate team members or supervisors. • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines in debt collection practices. • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling customer data.

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred but not mandatory. • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or a related field, preferably in a collections environment. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles. • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. • Empathetic and patient approach when dealing with customers. • Proficiency in using MS Office and CRM systems. • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of customer interactions. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new strategies and technologies. • A positive and solution-oriented mindset.
