As a Customer Service Associate, you will be the primary point of contact for customers who have overdue accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to establish positive relationships with these customers, understand their financial situations, and work collaboratively to develop tailored payment plans. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to negotiate effectively.
• Contact customers with overdue accounts to discuss their financial situation and payment options. • Negotiate and agree on realistic payment plans that meet the customer's needs and the company's requirements. • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and payment arrangements. • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and professional experience throughout the collection process. • Identify potential barriers to payment and work with customers to find solutions. • Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices in debt collection. • Collaborate with the collections team to ensure efficient and effective debt recovery processes. • Escalate complex or sensitive cases to the appropriate team members or managers. • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling customer information. • Continuously seek opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and collection rates.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or collections. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities. • Empathy and the ability to build rapport with customers. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software. • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of cases. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. • A positive and solution-oriented mindset.
