Job summary
We are looking for a Treatment Room nurse to join our fantastic, forward-thinking, friendly, and fabulous practice! We are a nurse-led practice so there is a respect and understanding of nursing needs, which runs all the way through the organisation.
We are currently offering 8 hours per week on a Wednesday.
Main duties of the job
Duties and responsibilities (all below have training/initial supervision available if needed): Woundcare Cervical Screening Contraception provision- pill checks, giving depo provera injections Immunisations- ranging from childhood-elderly Injections, both IM and SC of prescribed medications NHS Health Checks Ear irrigation ECGs Phlebotomy Stop smoking support (training available if necessary) Reducing alcohol support (training available if necessary) Annual monitoring bloods and observations- for patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension, CHD, Stroke, learning disability and mental health. Referral and signposting for lifestyle advice, support healthy behaviour changes Infection Control Chaperoning Urgent bloods as required Urinalysis Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording Ordering of clinical stock Adhering to clinical policies and protocols as delegated by management team

Applicants must have full Nurse Registration
Desirable
Good communicator, be able to work on their own, using initiative and be an excellent team player. Desirable: Experience in General Practice is preferred. Experience of venepuncture and some of the above clinical tasks. A good working knowledge of computers, our practice clinical computer system is SystmOne.
