Job Title: Consultant in Reproductive Medicine / Fertility Specialist
Location: Sheffield
Contract: Part-time (0.4 WTE)
Hours: 16 hours per week

Main duties of the job
As a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred fertility care while contributing to service development and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
Consulting with and assessing patients to plan and deliver fertility treatmentsUndertaking procedures including egg collections, embryo transfers, and related treatments (within competence)Managing emergency assessments and providing clinical advice where requiredCommunicating effectively with patients, GPs, referrers and multidisciplinary teamsEnsuring appropriate consent processes are followed prior to treatmentParticipating in rota arrangements including weekend and on-call coverSupporting patient information events and education initiativesYou will also contribute to clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and service development across the clinic and wider organisation.

Actively participate in clinical governance, audit and quality management processesContribute to service improvement, research, and development initiativesWork collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and support team developmentMaintain accurate clinical records and comply with all regulatory requirements including HFEA, GMC and data protection standardsParticipate in training, mentoring and supervision of colleagues where appropriateSupport safe, effective day-to-day service delivery and rota management
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Medical degree and full GMC registration Proven clinical experience in reproductive medicine/fertility Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to high standards of patient-centred care Knowledge of clinical governance and regulatory frameworks
Desirable
Experience in quality improvement, audit, or research Experience working within multidisciplinary fertility teams Interest in service development or education/training
