Job Summary: Assist the department by using critical thinking skills. The basic workflow would be to ensure that critical carts and patient care equipment is ready and available for patient use. This would include equipment, supplies, and any needed items to complete carts and processing of patient care equipment. • Daily rounding, inspect the conditions in each room and area. • Conduct daily audits of specialty equipment and assets. • Constant communication with the Charge RN for each area and Assistant Nurse Managers. • Escalate immediate Plant or operational issues as needed. • Maintain organization and continuity of clean utility rooms and alternate storage areas. • Troubleshoot and initiate repair of faulty equipment (Clinical, ISS etc). • Maintain and remove equipment from service when necessary. • Joint Commission preparation and compliance. • Interact with the Strategic Sourcing Buyer for specifics on manufacturers, vendors, and status of various PO’s. • Supply requisitioning o Recording supply orders, status, receiving. o Attention to operational budget. • Daily checking of special-order supplies, maintaining an adequate inventory. • Emergency Response/HERT operations trained. • Disaster preparedness and awareness. • Proficient in using Outlook and Excel. • Remain compliant with all mandatory training and OMS requirements. • Other tasks or assignments may be required to meet the needs of the department.
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED Preferred:
• 1-2 years of Emergency Department experience, supply coordination, environmental clearing of equipment preferred
