Our services in Wandsworth are looking for a Recovery Worker to join our team, providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. At Wandsworth, WithYou works closely with the lead provider, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and partners, Phoenix Futures and Way Through providing free and confidential support to adults experiencing challenges with drugs and alcohol. As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year. The salary for this role follows a fixed incremental pay scale, this starts at £30,250 per year, rising yearly in line with our salary progression bands, up to £34,900 per year. This includes a £4,000 per year inner London weighting payment.

Main duties of the job

Our Recovery Workers work with our clients to help them to determine what their goals, ambitions and passions are, working with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to get them on the path to recovery. This is an integral role for With You - as a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities. You will manage an active caseload of service users, connecting quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity.

You will be a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. Were looking for demonstrable experience working within the health, social care or other specialist setting, ideally with those with substance misuse issues. We will provide you with the training and support that you need to develop in your role so whilst experience is preferred it is not essential, please make sure to demonstrate your interest in the position and your transferable skills in your application.

You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a team to ensure a high quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

To be successful in this role, you will: Substance misuse experience desirable Have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting Have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike Be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed Be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work Have good oral and written communication skills Be comfortable using IT and digital media Be organised and able to manage your time effectively Able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion Be happy to support other With You locations when needed Should you be successful in your application, you will be required to provide 3 years' worth of references and will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
