About this role

Responsible for the daily efficient and effective operations of the EVS/facilities department to provide a positive guest experience. Will be responsible for the supervision of the daily shift operations in the department.

• EVS /Facilities Shift Manager provides excellent customer service to employees and vendors in all situations. • Performs a variety of tasks including, recruiting, on boarding, team member evaluations, disciplinary actions, training, reviewing and updating departmental standard operating procedures, etc. • All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and Indiana Gaming Regulations • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, respect, and service in all dealings with employees, vendors, and customers. • Recognizes and honors the need for absolute confidentiality and discretion in matters handled through the office. • Administrative responsibilities include processing departmental payroll, employee documentation pertaining to HR, supply /purchasing order entry, follow up, and tracking of purchase orders, data processing, filing, copying, organizing, typing, faxing, scanning, answering phones, making calls, and other duties as required.

• Technical degree or certification in related field and five (5) years of building maintenance management experience is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Must be at least 21 years of age or older with the ability to obtain an Indiana Gaming License. • Must possess good interpersonal skills. • Be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays. • Should have knowledge of troubleshooting all maintenance issues that should arise and be able to effectively direct shift staff accordingly. • Proficient knowledge of mechanical and software programs. • Hospitality related facility experience preferred. • Previous experience in purchasing ordering, payroll, human resources a plus. • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.) with data processing capabilities. • Experience in cleaning, janitorial or housekeeping preferred. • Candidate must have Floor Care Certification or equivalent Floor Care Technician experience. • Must be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) and an Indiana Horse Racing Commission (IHRC) License. • Must also be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Responsible for fostering a fun environment. • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting. • Candidate must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude, and the ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts. • Must be able to work in a fast paced, loud, smoking environment. Requires Access to the gaming floor.
