About this role
Casino Surveillance Officer monitors casino operations using cameras and surveillance systems to ensure a safe, fair, and lawful environment. They identify suspicious activity, preventing fraud or theft, and ensuring compliance with gaming regulations.
• Operates a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system to monitor casino activities and prepare reports and logs. • Operates software to save and preserve video coverage. • Presents evaluations of any observed illegal activity to the proper departments and makes necessary recommendations. • Make recommendations and enforce state and federal regulations. Will communicate with security and other departments using phones and radios. • Will follow policies to ensure safety and asset protection. Has knowledge of all slot/game’s procedures and Title 31. • Maintains all logs and ensures accuracy of log entries. • Maintains confidentiality of all Hotel/Casino information. • Reports all incidents observed on shift to the Leadership. • Comply with company regulations, policies, and procedures. • Act as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same. • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• High school diploma, GED, or comparable experience preferred. • Prior experience in a security, casino or surveillance-related field is preferred. • Must be able to sit or stand for long hours observing numerable CCTV screens. • Must be able to work and maneuver in close quarters. • Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations. • Must be able to see and, also, remember the specific details of incidents and persons. Ability to compose clear, accurate, and concise reports. • Must be able to operate the following equipment: Monitors, switches, computers, controllers, and cameras. • Must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports. • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. • Ability to maintain extremely confidential information. • Observe gaming tables and slot machines to ensure fair play and accurate payout • Review video footage to resolve disputes or investigate incidents • Coordinate with casino security staff and management when issues arise • Ensure compliance with gaming laws, internal policies, and procedures • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors. • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and stack. • Must be 19 years of age or older • Proficient in English verbal and written • Proficient with iOS devices • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
