We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at HMP Oakwood, a category C men's Prison located in Featherstone.

We are looking for part time applications to join on a permanent basis to support our pharmacy and healthcare team! Hours Various part time shifts available

33.25hrs 15hrs 23.75hrs 15.31hrs

Salary This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary of £25,557 - 29,723 FTE per annum.

Main duties of the job As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

This role will primarily support during medication rounds out on the residential units and complete any medication management tasks as directed by the Duty Manager during the shift. Complete general dispensary duties and stock management Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning. Qualifications required NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards Medicines handing experience desirable not essential Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Excellent communication skills Good IT skills and IT literacy Ability to work within a busy environment Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
