Job summary
The two Assistant Finance Managers 'post holders' main responsibilities are to support the two Senior Financial Accountants in balance sheet, patients' monies and capital reporting together with subsidiary financial reporting for the Trust's Charitable Fund and Flourish Community Interest Company.
The specific duties are split between the two postholders who will each have line management responsibilities for staff. These will be subject to review periodically.
Main duties of the job
Financial reporting for the Trust's subsidiaries being the Charitable Fund and Flourish Community Interest Company.
Capital reporting.
Patients' monies transacting.
Control account reconciliation.
Line management of subordinate staff for the cashiers function, cash books, the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
Any other duties commensurate with the position in supporting the two Senior Financial Accountants.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
5 GCSE, including Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalents ) plus 2 A levels (or equivalents). AAT Advanced/NVQ level 4 Accountancy or equivalent experience.
Experience Essential
Appropriate demonstrable recent and relevant experience. Experience of performing Nominal ledger reconciliations.
Desirable
Experience of working in an NHS environment Experience of Charitable Funds. Experience of managing staff. Experience of Patients Finance.
Knowldege Essential
Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures relating to NHS legislation. Ability to apply judgement to develop solutions to complex problems where there are conflicting priorities and there is not precedent.
Desirable
Knowledge of Charities Commission regulations and guidance Knowledge of Department of Work & Pensions Benefits
Skills / Abilities Essential
Highly competent in the use of email, internet and Excel. Use of financial systems. Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
