As part of the Appellate Division, you will be responsible for preparing our clients and their witnesses to attend unemployment compensation appeal hearings and advocating on their behalf. This is a client-facing and deadline-driven role which requires you to remain up to date and knowledgeable about state-specific laws and statutes regarding UI benefits. What you will do Determine and discuss strengths and weaknesses of individual unemployment compensation cases with client witnesses Analyze facts (known and new) as well as documentation and draw conclusions as to how that may impact a case to then use that information during hearings via direct or cross examination, entering exhibits, raising objections, etc. Prepare client witnesses for unemployment hearing proceedings Document all communication with client witnesses
