Job summary

We are recruiting for a Support Secretarywho wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards "working together, improving together".

This position is currently advertised as 32.5 hours per week, pending additional approval to increase to 37.5 hours per week.

Job description Job responsibilities

To provide a comprehensive secretarial/administrative service to the Rheumatology Consultants and their team (Registrars and Nurses), as required; enabling them to optimise clinical commitment, and therefore facilitating the Trust in achievement of its objectives and targets.

It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative and judgement using acquired skill and knowledge and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Secretarial Experience. Relevant audio typing experience. Be computer literate with good working knowledge of Window applications.

Aptitudes Essential

Flexible approach. Self-motivated. Supportive to other members of the team.

Abilities Essential

Ability to demonstrate a high standard of transcribing. Ability to work as a team member and alone. Ability to prioritise work. Ability to work under pressure.

Communication Skills Essential

Excellent communication skills at all levels. Ability to accept constructive advice.
